WHEN building society staff saw a plea in the Coventry Telegraph for handbags and shoes from the British Heart Foundation they headed straight for their wardrobes.

Kay Bathe, from British Heart Foundation, said they were grateful to the colleagues and said after the story in the Telegraph the charity had received a higher number of donations than usual.
The British Heart Foundation provides research and support for 2.6 million people in the UK living with heart disease.
